Vancouver, Canada (PRWEB) January 17, 2012

Lasso Data Systems, the leading provider of CRM home builder and condo sales software solutions for the residential new-home industry, is playing a significant role in new home sales success in the Canadian market. Developers, builders and marketing sales agencies are increasingly deploying Lasso CRM to capture, manage and communicate with homebuyer leads, prospects and purchasers.

“We experienced excellent growth of over 40% in 2011 in the Canadian market, primarily in major urban markets like Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver. The Canadian real estate market has been strong, but there is an abundance of product and it’s highly competitive so developers, home builders and new home sales agencies are embracing CRM home builder software like Lasso to help them maximize sales by having a centralized database of prospects and buyer accessible across their organizations”, stated Dave Clements, CEO, Lasso Data Systems. “Lasso CRM software is built uniquely for new home sales and is ideally-suited for multi-family development projects in cities like Vancouver and Toronto where condo development is massive. We are proud to have our roots in Canada as the major urban markets have been model cities for urban development as well as green and sustainability initiatives,” added Clements.

“With CRM, no lead gets lost, and no sale is missed – A CRM system is like an instant “to-do” list for a sales agent each day—they can easily access an up-to-date, accurate, complete list of all of their prospects, as well as a listing of when each was last contacted. Using that information, sales professionals can determine who needs a phone call or an e-mail, who should make an appointment to come into the sales center, and who may be close to closing on a home,” affirmed Dave Betcher, Lasso’s VP Sales. “From a management perspective, CRM helps create a culture of accountability, since the CRM can be used to track how each salesperson is progressing with their active leads. Managers can use this information to help facilitate the sales process and work individually with each salesperson for constructive coaching and personal development growth,” added Betcher.

About Lasso Data Systems:

Lasso Data Systems is the leading developer of innovative “on-demand” CRM home builder software for builders and developers. Lasso, deployed on thousands of projects globally, equips real estate developers, home builders and sales agencies to convert prospects to purchasers and to sell their developments faster and easier. The company’s software manages potential homebuyers online from interest list to occupancy including marketing, sales, inventory and contract management. Lasso works equally well for diverse developments from urban high-rise to suburban townhomes, single family, master planned and senior communities, and golf, mountain and ocean destination resorts. Lasso is designed for ease of use, rapid deployment and pay by usage to maximize each client’s ROI and reduce their technology and financial risk. Lasso is a privately held company headquartered in Vancouver, BC, Canada. http://www.lassodatasystems.com

Burbank, CA (PRWEB) November 15, 2005

David Lawrence, award winning network broadcaster and podcasting personality, unveiled a revolutionary podcasting “service bureau” for real estate agents today.

Speaking at the Podcast and Portable Media Expo, in a session entitled Creating the Commercial Connection: Speaking to Vendors, Customers, and Consumers via Podcasting, Lawrence took the wraps off of http://NewHomePodcast.com, a powerful and elegant way for real estate professionals to reach home buyers via the power of podcasting.

“An agent can simply pick up the phone, talk with me for 10 minutes, and speak to potential clients about local real estate news, demystifying sometimes scary home buying terms and concepts, and walking us through their spotlight addresses,” Lawrence explained. “It all gets packaged in an easy to listen to, highly produced podcast that I host and that the real estate agent stars in.” The podcast appears on both the NewHomePodcast site and the agent’s own home page.

Within minutes of the recording session, the podcast is available to MP3 player-toting buyers, all hungry for any information on available homes in their desired area. “Those home buyers will also find a treasure trove of information at NewHomePodcast.com that will help them find the home of their dreams, and buy it with confidence,” said Lawrence.

Agents reserve zip codes on a yearly basis, and air at least one podcast per month. Lawrence noted, “Podcasting has changed the way people get information and entertainment in a very short time. When looking for a home in this highly competitive seller’s market, any advantage a home buyer has can mean the difference between getting just the right home and months of further searching. For real estate agents, many of whom embraced the Web very early on, podcasting represents yet another way to communicate with savvy buyers and to increase their profile in the real estate community.”

http://NewHomePodcast is officially open for business, and has already has over 200 zip codes reserved by real estate professionals. Their first client, Javiera Garcia, said “I listen to David’s radio show here in the [San Francisco] Bay area, and was thrilled that he said yes to helping me out with my podcast.” Lawrence noted that three listeners called within 24 hours wanting his services producing podcasts, and NewHomePodcast.com was born.

For further information, contact Lawrence at 818 563 3123.

Like many other E-Biz owners, you may not feel inclined to structure your online business as a legal entity. Maybe you argue that your business is too small or that you only sell on eBay. Or perhaps you feel the process is too expensive. But the real question isn’t the size of your business, or how much it’s worth. The real question is, how much can you afford to lose?

Personal Asset Protection

When you’re operating as a sole proprietor, the law views you and your business as inextricably linked. Explains attorney Patrick O’Neill, CEO of http://IncorporateABusiness.com, One of the biggest benefits of incorporating or forming an LLC is that your business becomes, in a legal sense, a completely separate entity from you and any other shareholders. So in the unfortunate event that your business is sued, a judgment against your business doesn’t extend to your assets, other than those invested in the business. Similarly, your business’ creditors can only come after company assets – your house, life savings, and stamp collection remain safely out of reach.

Image Enhancement

Besides putting a virtual firewall around your personal property, you’re also strengthening your business’ image. This is especially important, because as a small E-Biz owner, you’re already at a disadvantage:

* First, as a small, unknown business, you have to work hard to create credibility with your customers. Unlike a well-known chain store, you must convince shoppers that you can consistently provide top-quality products and first-rate customer service.

* Second, when you sell online, you lack a physical storefront where shoppers can walk around and get a sense of the kind of operation you run, and whether they feel comfortable purchasing from you.

Seeing XYZ Business, Inc. goes a lot further towards reassuring potential buyers that you’ve been verified, than a generic XYZ Business. The same is true for other organizations with which you do business. Wholesale suppliers and loan officers, for example, are more likely to take you seriously. Even the IRS is less apt to audit a home business that’s an established formal entity – they believe the odds are much higher that the owner isn’t just looking for illegitimate tax deductions.

Tax Flexibility

LLCs and S-corporations were both developed with small businesses in mind, and both eliminate the double taxation of a traditional corporation. A C-corp is taxed on its earning as if it were an actual person. Post-tax profits pass through to shareholders, who must include them in their reported taxable income. For Coca-cola, this might be bearable; but for a small eBay business, double taxation can be a crushing burden. An LLC or an S-corp, on the other hand, allow you to be taxed as a partnership, so you’re not paying taxes at entity-level. You’re only required to fill out an information return for your business, and the profits and deductions pass through proportionally to the shareholders.

* An LLC is much easier to form than a corporation, and the compliance formalities are less stringent. The operating agreement can be as flexible as you choose to make it.

* An S-corp is basically a small business corporation, or a corporation that’s taxed as a partnership. It is generally less adaptable than an LLC in income distribution and imposes greater ownership restrictions.

For the entrepreneur, forming a legal entity presents a tremendous value proposition. You’re taking preventative measures in protecting yourself and proactive measures in creating greater credibility, advises O’Neill. So you’re helping yourself on the front and back ends.
